[Tri Events Announces Alliance with Starbucks

West Covina, CA (February 24, 2012) - Tri Events, Inc. the proud sponsor of the “Worlds Longest Running Triathlon
Series” is pleased to announce its partnership with Starbucks, the world’s top coffee retailer and most recognized
brand in the world.

“We are pleased to have Starbucks on board with us for our upcoming 30th Anniversary celebration. Our athletes
will have a treat to look forward to upon arrival at our events with the familiar Starbucks coffee brand to greet
them.” stated Carolyn Wolk, Race Director for Tri Events, Inc. “Besides great coffee we are drawn to the Starbucks
brand because of their community involvement, ethical sourcing, environmental concerns, and their commitment
to wellness which is displayed in the foods and coffee they serve.”

According to Steve Lane, Retail Store Manager at the 17th Promenade, “We are happy to be a part of the Tri Events
experience as they celebrate 30 years of triathlon excellence.” Lane went on to add “In addition to bringing the Tri
Event athlete some great food and coffee to help them prepare for their event we also wish to create awareness
about the social responsibility this company brings to our local communities which we serve and our partners
whom we source with around the world and that speaks volumes.”
